 | - 8/1/2010 Virtual IT, Inc. has qualified to become a Microsoft Online Services Advisor. This designation allows the firm to guide clients through the Microsoft Business Productivity Suite of Services (BPOS) Proof of Concept (PoC). This PoC helps demonstrate if Microsoft’s Software + Services solution is the best fit for the clients’ business needs. The advisor designation also allows Virtual IT to place Microsoft Online Services orders on behalf of clients, initiate trials, specify the recommended services and quantities, and pre-configure orders for clients to easily complete. The advisor would then support clients through the planning and migration to Cloud Computing services and/or the deployment of Microsoft SharePoint solutions for the enterprise.
Virtual IT was also selected as one of only one hundred Microsoft partners to participate in the new pilot Microsoft Online Services Advisor Program for Public Sector. This pilot program is designed to advise and educate State and Local Government, and State Healthcare partners on BPOS and to assist in the business cost/benefit analysis and justification of this solution.
Juliet Silver, CEO of Virtual IT, noted that “we are excited to be a part of this program as we have worked with local governments for over 10 years and pride ourselves on the advisory role we have developed with government clients. This program provides us the resources to educate and advise clients on Cloud Computing as an alternative to standard internally hosted solutions.”

| | - 2/1/2010 Virtual IT, Inc. will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary in March 2010. That's quite remarkable when one considers the privately-held firm has weathered two significant economic downturns: the dot-com bust and the recent financial sector meltdown.
"During the last ten years, Virtual IT has endured throughout the varied changes in economy," said Juliet Silver, co-founder and President of Virtual IT. "Our success is directly attributable to our focus on continual and intentional commitment to performance and integrity and our industry knowledge, expertise and agility.
The firm has undergone a continuous evolution which is almost a prerequisite for working in the technology sector! At its inception, the company focused on providing chief technology officers and chief information officers “for hire” and has since expanded its services to provide subject matter experts in the areas of Business and IT Strategy; Project, Program and Portfolio Management; and Portal and Collaboration Solutions.
From its humble beginnings in Juliet's garage located in Bedford County, Virginia, Virtual IT has expanded to three locations spanning two states. These locations currently serve the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the United States.
“Our success is directly attributable to our employees and our clients. We hire the best and brightest individuals to join our team. We have had the pleasure of working with an exceptional and diverse group of clients,” said Becky Gibbs, co-founder and Senior Vice President of Sales for Virtual IT. She remarked that “Virtual IT’s success is also due to the partnerships we foster with our clients. We share ownership of their project goals -- we are one team -- and share our knowledge and experience to deliver the best solution for them.”
The firm’s focused expertise in the federal government (DoD/DoE) arena, local government and other select industries, has resulted in the successful completion of over 300 client projects.
Virtual IT has received industry recognition as an innovative organization in the delivery of technology solutions for a broad range of industries. Virtual IT is proud of its growth and achievements over the past 10 years and looks forward to providing exceptional support and service to its clients in the future.
